I read the following titles by William Least Heat-Moon:

"On Blue Highways" a mosey on the back/forgotten roads of the lower states. This has so much history, humor, and good down home feel. His descriptions of all the good eats he partakes of here and yonder makes you hungry!

"On River Horse" what a journey making his way from the east to west coast on waterways of all sizes and configurations. His experience is your journey.

Currently reading: "Roads to Quoz" he is back on the back roads again but this time with Q his wife and he is digging deeper into the history and meaning behind the great USA.

Interesting book about twin girls who were given up for adoption and the powers that be at the agency at the time thought it was best for all parties to split up twins and adopt them out to separate homes...seems they were mainly thinking about their inventory numbers...anyway these two girls get back together many years later and this is their story...good book.

A very different "read" than I would usually ever try, but that is exactly what a book club does for me, it introduces me to new things for better or worse and actually this one was on the better side of the scale.

Read this highly talked about book, it was a fast, interesting read with some thought provoking ideas.

What a story - I had never heard of Louis Zamperini, now I will never forget him and his amazing life.

This woman is living an amazing life and the stories she shared in this book were great.

Just ordered another book by Heather Lende just need to load it onto my Kindle it looks like a nother winner.

In reading this book you can take a armchair hike on the AT. It is the best book on the AT experience that I have read to date.
